Op deze webpage staan wat foto's van ons eerste bezoek aan Pittsburgh van 17 t/m 24 mei 2003. Leendert is professor op CMU, vandaar dat hij daar af en toe naartoe moet. Deze keer mochten wij fijn mee. We hebben dan ook de bloemetjes flink buitengezet.

These are some pictures from our first visit to Pittsburgh (5/17 - 5/24 2003). Leendert is an adjunct prof at CMU and we joined him on his visit. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Als eerste had Judith een bezoek aan de dierentuin gepland. Hier kijkt Sofie naar een olifantje die bij zijn moeder drinkt.

The first thing we did was to go to the zoo. Here Sofie admires the elephans.

In de dierentuin is veel te spelen. Hier komt Sofie van de glijbaan.

Lots of things to play with in the zoo. Sofie really enjoys the slides.

Voor Michelle is er helaas niet zoveel te doen. Maar ze geniet er toch wel van.

There are not many things to do for Michelle. Nevertheless she enjoys herself.

Sofie vermaakt zich ook als een mol in het doolhof van buizen.

It takes a while for Sofie to find the slide. She got a bit frustrated over this, but when she finally found it she was so excited that she found her way she went again and again and ...

Aan het einde van de dag is Michelle toch echt moe.

At the end of the day, Michelle fell asleep in her stroller.

En Sofie eet nog even een typisch ijsje voordat we vertrekken.

And Sofie enjoys the strange kind of icecream that they sell here.

In het kindermuseum trekt Sofie zichzelf naar boven als in een lift.

In the children's museum Sofie pulls herself up as in an elevator.

In een speelzaal vermaken Sofie en Michelle zich ook uitstekend. Hier Heeft Sofie lunch gemaakt voor mij.

Sofie and Michelle had a great time at the center for creative play. Here Sofie made me some lunch.

Voor Michelle is er deze keer ook heel veel te doen.

Lots of things to do for Michelle as well.

Sofie rolt stoer achteruit.

Sofie takes the backride.

En ze draait zichzelf volledig rond als een soort tol.

And she spins like a top.
